Notre compréhension de l’obésité a subi un changement de paradigme. La découverte récente selon laquelle les informations épigénétiques des gamètes sont sensibles à des facteurs alimentaires conforte l’idée selon laquelle le mode de vie avant la conception peut influencer la santé métabolique de la génération suivante.

Notre but est d’étudier les mécanismes cellulaires par lesquels les informations épigénétiques acquises et transférées via les gamètes peuvent influencer le développement et le métabolisme chez la progéniture et prédisposer la prochaine génération à l’obésité.
