In close collaboration with the team of M. Tauc and D. Pisani (Université Côte d’Azur, CNRS, LP2M), our study identifies a new therapeutic target against ischemic injury. Through proteomics and functional analyses, we uncovered seryl-tRNA synthetase (serRS) as a promising target whose inhibition significantly reduces brain damage and improves recovery after stroke. This proof-of-concept opens the way to the development of novel anti-ischemic agents.
