JobPostdoctoral researcher (M/F) in cell biology of membranes and metal sensitivity
About
We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher (M/F) for research at the intersection of organelle cell biology and metalloprotein biochemistry. The protein of interest is intrinsically disordered and combines various properties, including transition metal binding, binding to biological membranes, and pH sensitivity. It may be involved in metal homeostasis in differentiated tissues and also participate in pathophysiological processes such as inflammation. The postdoctoral researcher (M/F) will develop constructs (CRISPR KI) and protocols to visualize the protein's trafficking within the cell, as well as its conformational switching between several states depending on the subcellular environment, including pH and the presence of certain lipid classes. They will test the protein's trafficking pathways and its response to stimuli in differentiated cell systems. They will also contribute to the team's work to understand the protein's impact on pathophysiological processes.
