About
Functional exploration is based on the use of in-vivo models and aims to identify the roles of biological phenomena of interest at the organism level in physiological or pathological situations. In this perspective, the ANIMEX platform offers behavioral analysis tools scanning a broad spectrum of psychobiological mechanisms. The exploration of these mechanisms is organized, on the platform, by major categories: actimetry, motor skills, cognition, emotions-mood, development, social interactions and metabolism. The photometric optogenetic technique can be associated with some of the tests falling into these broad categories.
Equipments
We have 10 actimetry cages dedicated to the detailed analysis of the daily activities of mice in their living environment. They […]
Motor tests make it possible to explore the spontaneous motor skills of animals as well as their motor learning abilities. Devices available on the […]
The "emotions-mood" category includes behavioral tests that assess the anxiety level or mood (depression) of animals. Available devices […]
The cognition category brings together behavioral tests which make it possible to evaluate the learning abilities of animals. Devices available on the platform:
The category 'social interactions' encompasses behavioral tests that allow for the assessment of animals' social behaviors. The study of these interactions […]
The development tests offered on the ANIMEX platform make it possible to follow the stages of development of mice from the […]
We are equipped with 12 individual metabolic phenotyping cages operating in parallel and allowing us to measure energy expenditure […]
The IPMC functional exploration platform has a single-channel photometry device. Photometry is a technique that […]
