EquipmentABI 3500xL DNA Sequencer
About
We are equipped with an ABI 3500xL DNA sequencer from Applied Biosystems with 24 capillaries.
It allows us to perform de novo sequencing, plasmid resequencing, and PCR fragment analysis using capillary electrophoresis. We can also analyze fragments because the instrument can detect six different fluorochromes (genotyping of microsatellite markers that can be multiplexed).
The Sanger sequencing platform is available to all teams within the institute and is open to external services.
