We have 10 actigraphy cages dedicated to the detailed analysis of mice's daily activities in their natural environment. They can be placed individually or in groups in these spacious cages (30 x 30 cm) for the desired experimental duration. The environment in which they move can be customized with standard enrichment elements. Their behavior is filmed continuously. Our system's analysis software allows us to measure all spatiotemporal variables related to their activity from these recordings, such as the distance traveled and the time spent in each virtually predefined zone of the device, as well as the duration and frequency of activity/inactivity periods. Specific behaviors such as standing up or grooming can also be quantified by our device.
